A feature of rows and columns in the Sales Quote Editor is to set a solid background colour or image behind content contained in a row or column. This user guide topic covers the background colour feature of rows and columns.
Add a background colour to a row.
In the Sales Quote Editor, insert a text block (as shown below); this will automatically create a row containing one column that contains the text block.
Open the Row and Column toolbar.
To open the Row and Column toolbar hover over the text block and you will see an icon with 3 dots on the upper left most area of the text block.
Click on the cog icon inside the Row and Column toolbar.
On the popup window, click on the Background tab. You will see the drop-down field BACKGROUND STYLE, and choose the value Single Color.
From colour selector tool you may choose your preferred background colour.
You may choose from the standard colours provided, or by dragging your selection around the colours dialogue box, or by typing (or copy-pasting) the hex colour reference in the input field.
After you have chosen your preferred background colour, click on CHOOSE and then SAVE.
Add a background colour to a column.
Setting the background image in a column is the same process as described above for a row. However, you need to select the cog icon from the Column toolbar, as shown below.
Follow the same procedure as described above to set a column’s background colour.
When you make a new colour selection, you can see how it looks compared to the selection you started with in the box that displays the current (black box on the left) and new colors (blue box on the right).
