Creating Sales Quote Templates
The sales quote template library is a shared resource with all your colleagues; when you save a sales quote template, everyone gets to see/use it (if their security settings allow them to use it).
So if you find yourself creating similar sales quotes repeatedly, or one which you think could be reused by you or your colleagues, it is probably a good idea to save it as a sales quote template.
To create a sales quote template, follow these simple steps:
- Create a new sales quote as normal, add all the appropriate content/products and click Save.
- On the Sales Quote Dashboard, click the dropdown arrow next to the Edit button revealing a sub-menu, select Save as template.
- Click Save, and you've created your first sales quote template.
Each sales quote template is given a name and a description and a folder where you wish to save your template. (for example, when this template might be best used, perhaps).
Managing your Sales Quote Template Library couldn't be easier. Click on the Content Libraries menu from the Sales Quote Dashboard, then select the menu option Templates.
As shown below, you will see a list of your current sales quote templates; if you would like to edit a sales quote template click on the Edit button next to the corresponding template. This will open the Sales Quote Editor as normal, where you can edit content create default price tables with preloaded price line items.
If you would like to create a new template, create a new folder or get sample templates, you can choose those options here.
If you would like to change the name and description of the sales quote template, click on the edit button and choose Rename on the left of the template name; a popup window will appear for you to edit the current name and description (as shown below).
After editing the sales quote template name and description, click on the Save button to commit your changes.
