How To Copy And Paste Content And Remove Formatting (Plain Text)
Copying and pasting into QuoteCloud is very much similar to the majority of other programs out there. You are able to paste with original formatting or paste as plain text. QuoteCloud even takes this functionality one step further, and if it recognises the content you are pasting is from standard programs (ie: Word for example), QuoteCloud is able to combine the formatting from the original and the Sales Quote, to be in line with the sales quote styles.
Firstly, when in the Sales Quote Editor, enter a text box for your pasted content to go.
Once you have copied the original content from your other program, ensure the paragraph style is 'Normal'.
To paste the copied content as plain text, click CMD + SHIFT + VÂ (Mac) and CTRL + SHIFT + VÂ (PC).Â
The same pasting process also works by right clicking in the text input field and selecting Paste as plain text.
By pasting as plain text, no formatting from the original source will be carried over to the Sales Editor text field, as shown below.
If you are wanting to keep the existing formatting from the original source, simply click CMD + V (Mac) or CTRL + V (PC) or right click and select Paste.
QuoteCloud is very intuitive, and if the content you are pasting has existing formatting, QuoteCloud will offer the option to adjust the formatting to the default formatting of your sales quote template.
If you decide to select Keep to maintain the original source formatting, the content will be pasted in place as is, as shown below.
If you decide to select Clean, QuoteCloud will optimize the original source formatting to match the sales quote style settings, for a more seamless integration of content, as shown below.
